Mariel Harmon – Finance Director

Mariel Harmon is the Finance Director for ELNC and a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He obtained his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting Information Management from Davenport University. While attending Davenport, he was a member of Collegiate DECA, an organization that prepares young professionals for areas of marketing, finance, and management.

Since coming aboard for ELNC in 2015, Mariel has been responsible for the overall management of ELNC finances including all activities related to ELNC fiduciary role for its partners. Being a part of ELNC, he loves to advocate for the families that ELNC serve through his passion for finance as well as other areas of the organization where he can provide support. A long term goal for Mariel is to give back to the community where he was raised and he has wasted no time to honor this commitment. Not only is he fulfilling a key role on the ELNC leadership team but as part of his duties he provides financial technical assistance to ELNC partners, including United Methodist Community House, an organization that he credits with providing a safe and secure environment during critical periods of his childhood development.

A phrase that he stands by; “The increase of knowledge eliminates fear.” Mariel loves to cheer on his favorite football team – the Michigan Wolverines. Go Blue!!
