Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative (ELNC) is the umbrella organization for a placed-based initiative that leverages neighborhood-based organizations to deliver services that support families and successful early education. Through the educational standards and technical support that ELNC provides, ELNC partners are empowered to deliver high-quality, impactful preschool and parent programs. The Collaborative consists of the following seven organizations: Baxter Community Center; New Hope Baptist Church; SECOM Resource Center; Steepletown Neighborhood Services; The Other Way Ministries; and United Methodist Community House.

 

Family Coach

(1) position available. Must be bi-lingual (Spanish/English).  Candidates will possess a B.A./B.S./BSW degree in Sociology, Family Studies, or Psychology with a minimum of 2-3 years related work experience and will serve as a contact point for the preschool child’s family members in order to address any barriers to education while promoting education and career development for family members. Candidates must be organized, focused and detailed-oriented. Experience working with a diverse population is required. Preschool & Health Coordinator

(1) position available. Candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and is required to oversee and direct the planning, organizing, and implementation of education services for children ages three and four years old. These services contribute to the increased social competence in children. Program Communication & Recruitment Coordinator

Administrative Assistant

Parent Educators (Flourish at Home)

2) positions available. Candidates will possess Associate Degree in Family Services, Child Development or a related field and 1-2 years’ experience working with vulnerable children and families- preferably or a High School Diploma with 3-5 experience working with vulnerable children and families – preferably and is responsible for mentoring families, scheduling visits for parent education videotaping interactions, maintaining associated data bases and keeping records. Program Coordinator (Play to Learn)

(1) position available. Candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Parenting Education, Child Development, Maternal-Child Health, Early Childhood Education, Social work, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred. Experience working with and managing a program with a diverse population is required. Candidates must be organized, focused and detailed oriented. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred and is responsible for the implementation and management of the Play to Learn component of the Ready by Five initiative and the overall coordination of all activities and resources necessary to implement and manage the Play to Learn strategies. Candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education with specialization in preschool teaching and is in charge of the supervision, safety and education of students utilizing the approved curriculum. Early Head Start Director

(1) position available. Candidates will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred in Early Childhood Education with 3-5 years’ experience in a Head Start/Early Head Start & Child Care Partnership Program, facilitating program excellence in addition. Experience working with and managing a program with a diverse population and knowledge of Head Start Performance Standard is required. Candidate must be focused and detail-oriented. TASC Project Manager

(1) position available. Candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred. Candidates will lead ELNC consulting arm and facilities projects outside Grand Rapids, tracking goals and activities, and is responsible for managing TASC projects and resources to meet goals and priorities as defined by the Project Plan, and works with the Project Lead Consultant to monitor and manage the project budget.
