Haley Parks – Fund Development and Communications Manager

Haley Parks is the Fund Development and Communications Manager at ELNC. She is passionate about sharing stories and building community. At ELNC, Haley is able to intersect the two, by developing a strong foundation for the organization to grow upon while sharing the impactful stories of those who make up the ELNC community. Haley’s desire to learn from and celebrate differences was instilled in her at a young age. This was largely due to her family’s hospitable spirit and eagerness to welcome anyone into their home. Through a number of cross-cultural educational experiences, both locally and in other countries including Japan, Hungary, and Ghana, she has learned that the greatest needs are not always an ocean away. Within any city there are countless cultures and communities to learn from, empower, and walk alongside.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Haley found her way to Grand Rapids to attend Calvin University, where she got her B.A. in Strategic Communication. Having worked in different capacities in the nonprofit world, she is grateful to be at ELNC; supporting the provision, expansion, and sustainability of high quality early childhood education to under-served neighborhoods in Grand Rapids. Outside of work, you can find Haley outdoors, experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with her family and friends.
