Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering
with the Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative.

Volunteers are critical to helping us change the lives of our community’s most vulnerable children by providing access to quality early education!

impact

Here are just a few ways in which volunteers have
helped us make a positive impact on local children:
Classroom Readers:
Read a book to children, then donate it to the classroom.
Donation Drive:
You can help provide diapers (sizes 1-7 preferred), wipes, and pullups for infants and toddlers, as well as school supplies, books (ages 0-5), and art materials.
Special Events:
Help us provide fun events for children by sponsoring graduation or our annual carnival event.
Become a Corporate Partner:
Sponsor our gala, host a diaper drive, or host an office luncheon to tell your team more about ELNC.
We need YOUR SUPPORT to impact our current reality:

  • In 2016, an IFF study found over 4,000 Grand Rapids children were left without access to early education.
  • Early childhood education services available in our target neighborhoods only meet the needs of one-seventh of eligible children.
Our vision includes partnering with volunteers like you to create a community where all children, regardless of the neighborhood in which they live, are able to thrive developmentally and educationally allowing them to fully embrace their potential and become self-sufficient adults.

We are immensely grateful for the support of donors and volunteers who have helped us impact over 2,000 children since our organization started on this journey in 2010.

Thank you for joining us in accomplishing our mission of implementing an intentional Early Childhood Education service system aimed at providing, expanding and sustaining the capacity of high-quality, early care and education programs in the
vulnerable neighborhoods of Grand Rapids.
